Took the bike across to Barra as the island can be cycled in a day

Climbed up Heaval (383M) the highest point

Castlebat and Vatersay beyond

PM, went out in the boat, paddled and sailed from Ceann a' Gharaidh to the calmac slipway at Eriskay

Then picked up bike I had abandoned earlier to cycle back to the van

Pub named after the ship SS Politician which ran aground here in 1941 leaving the locals to help themselves to 40,000 cases of whisky!

In the afternoon, went to Shielboist Sands to play in the surf in boat

Went to Lewis, then 2 days later was back on Harris to climb Clisham (the highest point on the Outer Hebridees, and the only Corbett)

9PM ferry home the same day so parked up for tea with a view close to Tarbert
